We Work With All Auto Insurance Companies

Your insurance company may recommend a “preferred” shop when you call them following your accident. But it’s important to know that Washington state law gives you the right to select the auto body shop you feel comfortable with – not just their preferred provider.

When a shop is listed as an insurance company’s “preferred” shop or part of a “direct repair program,” that does not necessarily reflect the quality of the repairs it provides. It just means a shop has signed a contract with an insurance company agreeing to their labor rates and other stipulations.

At Stan’s Auto Body, we’ve been a preferred shop with Pemco Insurance for many years. However, we are an independent auto repair shop that can work with any insurance company, and we will work with the majority of their estimates. When you come to us, We will work to minimize your out-of-pocket expenses.

Our Process for Collision Damage Estimates

Each of our technicians has more than 20 years of experience in auto body repair and is well-versed in conducting estimates. Our team uses CCC One software, which is the largest estimating software company in our field and is accepted by all insurance companies.

What should you expect when you bring your car into Stan’s for an estimate? Here’s a look at the process.

We’ll start with photos of the VIN number tag in the door jamb and then continue to take our necessary photos of the four corners and the damage. We will document all damage to the outer panels, the inside, any lights on the dash and any other damage related to the accident.

Taking pictures will take approximately 15 minutes and we will get the estimate sent back to you as soon as possible. If you have an estimate from your insurance company, please bring it with you.

We will email you a copy of the estimate, and if you are using insurance you can then submit our estimate to them.

After the approval of our estimate, we check the availability of the necessary parts and determine when we can schedule your repair.
