How to Get Your Vehicle Repaired After an Accident
Let Stan’s Auto Body Help You Through the Collision Damage Repair Process
Being in an auto accident can be an overwhelming experience. With injuries, repairs, and insurance to consider – plus all of the associated price tags – there’s a lot to think about.
At Stan’s Auto Body, we have more than five decades of experience partnering with customers through these stressful times. We know it’s difficult, and we strive to make the auto repair process as simple as possible.
If you’ve just been in an accident, here’s a look at what to do next.
First, Take a Breath.
Make sure you’re doing OK and that your passengers are doing OK. If you have injuries or need to get checked out, go to a hospital.
Assess Your Vehicle’s Damage
Once you’re ready to turn your attention to your vehicle, see if it’s safe to drive. If it is, you can bring it in for an estimate at Stan’s Auto Body. If your vehicle is not safe to drive, please arrange for a tow and call us ahead of time to have it towed to us. Our estimates take about 15 minutes and will document all damage to the outer panels, inside, any lights on the dashboard, and any other accident-related damage.
Submit the Estimate to Your Insurance Company
Once our estimate is complete, we’ll email you a copy. If you’re using auto insurance, then you can submit our estimate for approval. Once our estimate is approved, we’ll check the availability of the necessary vehicle parts and schedule your repair. Note: Your insurance company may recommend you take your vehicle to a “preferred” shop, but Washington state law
allows you to take your vehicle to any shop you would like without losing coverage.
Bring Your Vehicle in for Repairs
Please bring your vehicle to us cleaned and ready for repairs. At your appointment, we will conduct a walk-around check of the vehicle and examine it for any hidden damage. If we find any damage under the outer sheet metal, we’ll let you and your insurance know and will write a supplement. Our repair process always goes through a quality control inspection in every phase.
Pick up Your Newly Repaired Vehicle
And breathe a sigh of relief. At Stan’s, we have a full warranty on all of our repair labor, meaning if something wasn’t done right, we’ll fix it free of charge.
